Re: Mentoring
Another thing to consider is that bangor will turn bot in 9 days, so maybe a TNT against webbles is a gd idea, as your 2nds could beat a bot. All depends really if you think bangor is likely to log back on again. Decisions decisions

Re: Mentoring
Hey Jammy, towz is looking to mentor someone. He is an established D.III manager who has been playing for a while now so should be able to help with the finer details.
I have messaged him to let him know you are looking for some advice, but its prob worth introducing yourself aswell----> http://www.blackoutrugby.com/game/club.lobby.php?id=46707#page=summary&id=46707

Re: Mentoring
Anyone else free to mentor? My last mentor was taken this evening and my emails have been deleted on br so I have no record if anyone else had volunteered

Re: Mentoring
Started a week ago first post on the forums would be great to just have the contact of someone to fire the odd question off too. Hopefully wouldn't be too many spent a lot of time reading and think i'm starting to get the just of the basics.

Re: Mentoring
Welcome to the offsite. Good to see some new blood. When you get up to speed, we will have to encourage you to start training for the U20 (2 times WC winning U20 team - Oh Yeah )cjenksnewman1 wrote:Started a week ago first post on the forums would be great to just have the contact of someone to fire the odd question off too. Re: Mentoring
Hello all - been a while since this thread has been going so am hoping the help is still there if needed. Been on BR for a good few years now and known to some. Only been serious about this in the last two years and have developed my squad in that time. Went up to div 2 a few seasons back but found it difficult and didn't want to go down the route of 'buying 32 yo high csr players' so decided to build a squad from the ground up,of nearly all Cymraeg Taken a while but now i feel i am in a strong position going forward with a young team averaging on 120,000csr and generally selling players when they get to around 27 and bringing in players of same rating but around 20 years old.
Got rid of my Youth to sort my finances out and will save stars for now, had success buying in young prospects and have trained 4 U20 players so far, two Welshies.
Have all level 5 coach's plus doubled up with attack and defense, and level 5 facilities. Can only retain a squad of 24,financially. Do i need all level 5, or is level 4 coachs and facilities fine for u20 training and building a squad upto 200,000 average csr?
If anyone has got the time to check out my team and to give me some pointers in helping me get to div 2 and staying there, then it would be welcomed.
Nice one all

Re: Mentoring
Personally I would say Level 4 is fine - I've trained a few into the U20 setup and never had L5.

Re: Mentoring
Cheers for the reply Denver. I currently can afford to keep it and still make a tidy profit, i guess i am just wondering if it is worth having it and if people feel there is a noticeable difference in training. But you not even needing it to produce tidy players, does say a lot !
How many u20 players have you trained, and what was the highest csr you gained whilst still in the u20 squad?
